I surprised even my Mom and Dad coz they looked so worried when I “fell” in. Chuckle..woof…actually I’d again deliberately “fell” as I couldn’t resist the water on that rather sunny afternoon when Mom and Dad brought me for this launch where I met 2 others of my kind and my 2 Purina aunts were there too!! It was the launch of the Purina One 30-day performance challenge.
• My Toy When I first came across this toy, I didn’t quite know what it was. My first instinct is to smell and taste it and when I took a bite, it created a funny crackling sound, which I liked. Then dad started throwing this toy into the air and said, “Jodie, fetch!” I didn’t understand the word, but I’d almost automatically run to “catch” the toy and brought it back to Dad. And then I realized that each time I did that, my Dad or Mom or anyone who hurled this toy and called out the magic word, and when I’d obediently did what they wanted, they’d always smile or grin happily and praise me. I’ve been doing this for close to 5 years now, entertaining the humans. It’s OK really, after all, I love making people happy coz I feel happy when they are happy. Woof Woof.. and this toy is what the humans throw away after consuming the water contained within. Guess it’s like the hose I drink from. It’s called the mineral water bottle.
• Rubbish A reason why I love my daily walks is because I get access to these little surprises that taste and look different everytime. They are easy to find, usually by the roadside. They come in all shapes, sizes, colour and tastes..yummy. Sometimes, they are loitered everywhere outside the houses and I discovered one day that they came from garbage bags placed outside the house. Loitered because the cats had gotten to the bags and clawed their way through to eat the… what my Dad calls rubbish. Well, being an environmentally friendly dog who’s continuously trying to keep the neighbourhood clean, I decided to help by getting rid of the rubbish on the roads. But, to my dismay, my Dad and Mom misunderstood my actions for being greedy. The moment I went near a garbage bin or bag, the words, “Jodie, NO RUBBISH!!” would be blurted out loud and strong. Sigh…These humans just don’t understand us sometimes…
You’ll read about my DISLIKES next week. Thanks for tuning in…
