Types of Dog Obedience Courses

Basic Training
    Puppy Class
    This fun class is designed for puppy of 3 to 6 months of age and the training focus on the very basic of obedience training. Developing the drive as well as the attention of the puppy are the main focus of this training. Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program is part of the Puppy Class. Puppies that have completed the Puppy Class will have to sit for a graduation test and those who qualified will be awarded a certificate as well as a CGC medal.
    Basic Dog Obedience
    The Basic Dog Obedience Class are designed for dogs that are older than 6 months that has not been trained before. The syllabus of the Basic Dog Obedience include training the dog to Heel, Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Stand and Leave. Again CGC is part of the Basic Dog Obedience. Those who completed the Basic Dog Obedience Training will have to sit for a graduation test and those who qualified will be awarded a certificate as well as a CGC medal.
 
Competition Class Dog Obedience Training
  For dog owners who want to train their dogs beyond the basic training and wish to train their dogs for competition can consider joining the following competition classes:-
   

Pre Novice Class
Pre Novice Class include all the exercise in the Basic Class but the training focus on precision and accuracy in all exercise.

Novice Class
Novice include all the exercise in the Pre Novice Class and Off Leash Training is introduce. Only one command is allow in most of the exercises.

Intermediate Class
In Intermediate Class, many new exercise are introduced such as fetch, distant control, stand for examination and more. Open Class The open class is the ultimate in dog obedience training and scent discrimination is now introduced as one of the exercise.

Dog Agility Training
Agility began as an exhibition sport in Great Britain and is now being introduced to countries worldwide. The sport was patterned after equestrian events and combines handler control, agility, and confidence. The sport of agility is comprised of a course set up of many different obstacles. Agility is meant to be a fun, non-regimented sport, with a lot of spectator appeal. Obstacles include jumps, tunnels, a dog walk, a see-saw or teeter, an A-frame and weave poles.

Dog Flyball Training
Flyball is a team sport for dogs and their handlers. It is loud, full of energy, and fun for all involved - the dogs, handlers, judges, and spectators. Dogs of all shapes, sizes, breeds, colors, and ages can participate in flyball. Dogs with high drive for ball are in particular very suitable for Fly Ball Training. It involve dog to clear a series of 4 obstacles (jumps) and approach the flyball box, catch the ball and run back and clearing the 4 jumps to the starting point.
